Cancellation

This policy outlines the cancellation procedures for both guests and hosts (tour guides) on the tourguides.me platform. All times are calculated based on the starting time of the tour in the experience's time zone.
Guest Cancellation Policy
Cancelling a Confirmed Booking:
- Within 24 hours of booking: Guests receive a full refund, including the 10% service fee.
- More than 24 hours after booking and more than 7 days before the tour: Guests receive a refund of the tour price minus the 10% service fee.
- Less than 7 days before the tour, or booking made within 24 hours of the tour's start: No refund is provided.
- Same-Day Bookings (tour starts within 24 hours): No refund is provided.
Host Cancellation:
- If the host cancels a confirmed booking, the guest receives a 100% refund.
Cancelling an Unconfirmed Booking:
- If a guest cancels a booking request within 48 hours of making it (before the host confirms), they receive a full refund.
Host/Tour Guide Cancellation Policy
Host-Initiated Cancellation of a Confirmed Booking:
- The host receives no payment.
Guest Cancellation and Host Compensation:
- Guest cancels 7 days or less before the tour: The host receives 100% payment, except when the guest cancels within the 24-hour cancellation window after their purchase.
- Guest cancels more than 7 days before the tour: The host receives no compensation.
24-Hour Cancellation Window After Purchase:
- Regardless of when the booking is made, if the guest cancels within 24 hours of booking, they receive a full refund, and the host receives no compensation.
Same-Day Bookings (tour starts within 24 hours):
- The host receives full payment.
