La Tomatina is a festival held annually in Buñol, Spain, where participants throw tomatoes at each other in what is considered the world's biggest food fight. Occurring on the last Wednesday of August, the event involves a chaotic one-hour battle after a truck delivers tons of tomatoes for the crowds. Rules include squashing the tomatoes before throwing them and refraining from throwing anything else, and the fun begins after a participant retrieves a ham from a greased pole.
